Description

Saggar firing is a ceramic process in which the vessel is placed inside a sealed container along with combustible materials such as leaves, sawdust, straw, and, in this case, horsehair, which creates the unique design pictured. The combustion chamber, when fired and sealed, produces a reaction with the materials to create a unique finish on the exterior of the urn.

This urn—”Copper Top”—measures 8.1″ tall, 7″ wide, and holds 140 cubic inches. If features a brass and copper leaf finial and top-opening lid with traditional cork seal.
